care & cleaning

Product Safety:

Stained glass pieces are made with 60/40 or 50/50 solder and contain lead. Completed pieces are relatively safe for handling in your home, although as an extra precaution, I do recommend washing your hands after handling. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Glass pieces labeled “lead-free,” such as jewelry items, have been assembled with lead-free solder and are safe for handling and extended wear.

Fused glass objects are hand wash only. They are not microwave, oven, or dishwasher safe.

All items are made with art glass, not resin, and should be handled delicately.

Cleaning Your Piece:

Periodically wipe down your piece of dust and fingerprints with a soft microfiber cloth. Ammonia-free window cleaner can be used, but please avoid all other household cleaners and chemicals. These can cause damage to your glass piece.  Do not scrub with any textured brushes or abrasive materials. Always wash hands before and after handling your glass piece.

Hanging Your Piece:

Cup hooks, screws, nails, or picture hooks are all excellent options for hanging your stained glass piece. I strongly advise against using suction cups, as they are prone to popping off of windows, especially with large temperature/weather shifts.
